Service Exclusions and Limits
All mental health professionals have resource and expertise-related limitations. Practitioners within this clinic have a scope of practice that must be adhered to, that relate to their experience and clinical judgement.
This practice cannot provide support for:
x high-risk/acute client needs and care
x active domestic abuse-related issues or situations
x former forensic care clients due to complexity or needs
x child neurodevelopmental disorders
x child attention deficit (hyperactivity) disorder
x insomnia or sleep disorders
x eating disorders
x body dysmorphic disorder
x identity/gender affirming care
Excluded services
x forms for government disability claims/forms for workplace burnout/government forms
x medical services (out of scope of practice)
x prescription or prescription renewal (out of scope of practice)
x treatment for personality disorders
x treatment for addiction or substance use/misuse
x making a diagnosis/seeking services to make a diagnosis (referral could be provided)
x psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy
x ketamine-assisted treatment for depression
x cannabis-assisted services
x couple and family therapy
x group therapy
x child/youth care for individuals under age 16
